Position ID: GTI-POS-0SUM-6514 Location: Stockton,CA - Position Title: Field Operations Supervisor Description: Summary: Gordon Trucking, Inc. is looking for a Field Operations Supervisor to represent GTI at one of our customer facilities located in Stockton, CA. The Field Operations Supervisor will be responsible for managing all facets of the operations and customer service relationship between GTI, the customer and outside carriers. The Job: Some of the main responsibilities include: Representing GTI as a point of contract & liaison between GTI and the customer, collaborating and coordinating efforts with customer to participate in safety compliance, scheduling of labor pool and developing productivity measurements, conduct performance evaluations & improvement processes for personnel, maintain asset allocation for customer, coordinate routine metrics & performance review for all regional facilities, provide tracking performance metrics when requested, resolve freight payment discrepancies, work with customer to audit & improve processed & procedures Customer service responsibilities include, securing, planning and tendering customer freight for outside carriers using an AS400 platform, order entry, managing available assets with customer volume, research load & unload discrepancies, troubleshoot for potential problems that may impact on time service. Other duties assigned as business needs require. Requirements: The ideal candidate will have demonstrated the following attributes in previous roles: leadership, initiative, problem analysis, planning, organization, and sound judgment. Minimum of 3 years experience in transportation/brokerage industry preferred. Minimum of 2 years college preferred. Typing, light ten-key, multiple phone line management & phone etiquette, PC experience, map reading, AS400 & Qualcomm experience. There will be customer technological requirements as requested. Must be proficient in English with Spanish as a strong second language.
