Regional
Coordinator
- The Regional Coordinator provides day-to-day leadership
within the Operations department by managing a specific
geographic territory and the customers and assets within
that area. The main responsibilities for this position
include: safety, asset optimization, customer service,
short and long term strategy development, yield/profit
management, and communication. (top)

OPS
Trainee
- The Operations Department is often considered the activity center at Gordon Trucking. When you walk onto the Operations floor, you hear the sound of business and you can feel the energy in the room. The Operations department is comprised of three distinct job functions, all of which work together to keep both drivers and freight moving to satisfy the needs of our customers while keeping safety as a number one priority. Our customer service representatives work with our regional coordinators to make sure that our customers’ needs are met. Our regional coordinators work with driver managers to make sure that our drivers and equipment are productive. Our driver managers work to communicate any issues with a load to the customer service rep. The entire Operations staff works as a team to make sure the job gets done. (top)

Driver
Manager
- The Driver Manager works with a group of forty to fifty
drivers and manages their daily activities. They work
closely with the Regional Coordinators and Customer Service
Representatives in monitoring service. They communicate
with their drivers through the use of in cab satellite
technology and the telephone. The main responsibilities
for this position include: safety, assigning work to drivers,
driver productivity, driver retention, customer service,

Customer
Service Representative
- The Customer Service Representative is the day-to-day
customer contact within the Operations Department. They
communicate with customers primarily by telephone and
email. They work closely with the Regional Coordinator
to assist in the management of a specific geographic area.
Their main responsibilities include: customer service,
customer communication, order entry, yield/profit management,
customer retention, and gathering market intelligence. (top)

OTR
Specialist
- The OTR Specialist is responsible for all truck and
trailer repairs done over-the-road. They work closely
with drivers, operations personnel, and vendors. Their
goal is to get the truck or trailer repaired and operating
safely as quickly as possible while maintaining cost control.
The job requires a strong mechanical aptitude. (top)

Customer
Engineer
- The Customer Engineer is a relatively new position that
expands the efforts of a transitional marketing department.
The Customer Engineer works closely with the Sales person,
Regional Coordinator, and Customer Service Representative
to form a cross-functional working pod. Customer Engineering
duties include determining the optimal book of business
to meet the company's financial goals, locating customers
that meet the profile, managing the securement of new
business, guiding the utilization of GTI assets on a macro
basis, and maintaining the clear flow of information between
the customer and GTI. Customer Engineers also manage consulting
projects, dedicated services, and continuous improvement

Information Services
- GTI's Information Services Department is responsible
for all the technical support for computer systems and
the telephone systems. The IS Department at GTI has several
positions such as PC Support/Help Desk, EDI Coordinator,
Programmer Analyst, Network Administrator, RPG Programmer/Analyst,
Lotus Notes Administrator and IT Manager. (top)
